Shane Bishop has been the Senior Pastor of Christ Church since 1997. Raised the child of a pastor/evangelist, Shane was called into ministry in 1989 and has a relentless passion for connecting people to Jesus Christ. Shane believes the Church of Jesus Christ is God’s strategic plan for the conversion of the world. “The church is not an institution among institutions, a charity among charities or a good cause among good causes. We are the hands and feet of Christ entrusted with the transformation of the world.” Shane and Melissa have two grown children and two grandsons.

Read more... Troy Benton came on staff at Christ Church in July of 2011 after serving the Metropolitan Atlanta area. Troy sensed his call to ordained ministry at age 13, and answered the call three years later during a Mother's Day service. Troy is a 1995 graduate of Garrett-Evangelical, obtaining a Master of Divinity degree, with an emphasis on the African-American church. Troy is married to his college sweetheart and wonderful wife of 18 years Emma. Together they nurture their daughters Taylor and Autumn, and endeavor to serve God faithfully.

Alan was born and raised in Ohio, received his bachelors degree at The Ohio State University and masters at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He and his wife Vanessa have two children, Victoria and Nathaniel.

E-mail: alanprass@mychristchurch.com Don Frazure has been the Director of Worship at Christ Church since 2006. Born and raised in Pascagoula, Mississippi, Don began leading worship at age 16. After graduating from college, he went on to attend the Juilliard School and began a performing career that gave him the opportunity to sing throughout the United States and abroad. After serving churches in Mississippi and New York, Don felt God’s call to full-time worship ministry. Don and his wife Rachel have two daughters, Juliana and Shelby. It is Don’s desire for people who attend Christ Church to be authentic in worship - that they truly worship, not merely observe it.

He is married to his high school sweetheart, Nancy; they have seven children and six grandchildren. Larry has taught/led adult connection classes since 1988 including creating the leadership classes here at CUMC. He and Nancy have been members of Christ Church since moving to the area in the summer of 2002. Larry loves to worship and has finally answered God’s call into full-time ministry.
