Shepherd Care
The Shepherd Care Ministry is that part of Congregational Care that ministers to the Christ Church Family that is homebound, in nursing homes, or assisted living situations and can’t get to church regularly. Shepherd Care involves volunteers ministering one on one, showing love and caring by their presence and attentiveness to those they visit. Volunteers might play cards with a person, read to someone who can no longer see, or take someone outside in their wheelchair to get a change of scenery and some fresh air. The Shepherd is there to convey by their presence and attitude the love and compassion of God in Jesus Christ. The monthly time commitment is two hours, and the schedule is flexible. Be in prayer and see if God is calling you to be a Shepherd to His flock.Spiritual Gifts: Mercy/Compassion, Assistance/Helps, Hospitality
