F.A.Q.

What are your procedures for keeping the children safe and accounted for?

We are very serious about the safety and security of the children. At Christ Church, we utilize computer technology to ensure that each child is checked in and accounted for at all times while participating in K4C. Children are picked up by an authorized adult who presents the security tag that was printed at check in. Parents will be notified during worship services via text messaging or by the number on the screen that corresponds with the number on the parent tag if they are needed in any of our children's areas.

Who will be working with my child? How can I get involved?

K4C volunteers are highly dedicated to the mission of the church and see the opportunity to serve children and families as a privilege. All of our volunteers pass security screenings and participate in a volunteer orientation class plus ongoing training events. Please contact us if you would like to get involved as a K4C volunteer.

What else do I need to know about K4C?

Children can be taken to classrooms 15 minutes prior to a worship service; Please label all your child's belongings (bags, bottles, pacifiers, etc.); To promote good health, we ask that sick children do not attend K4C; Please inform the volunteers if your children will be attending more than one service; Safety and security is very important. You must have the security tag with you to pick up your children after the service.

Where do I go as a guest at Christ Church with children?

As a first time guest please stop by the Creation Corner check in desk located on the east side of Scripture Hall (main entrance to the sanctuary). We will register your children and give you a tour of Creation Corner (birth to K) and Kid Connection (1st to 5th). We will also stop by the Welcome Desk for a gift for you. To expedite the registration of your children please pre-register them here and bring the Waiver Form with you when you check in for the first time.

How do you make sure that your preschool environment is safe and healthy?

Upon recommendation of the American Academy of Pediatrics, we ask that a child is not brought to K4C when the following conditions exist:

• Fever (We require a child to be free of fever for 24 hours before entering K4C.)
• Vomiting or diarrhea (within the past 24 hours)
• Symptoms of childhood diseases such as chicken pox, croup, strep throat, flu, etc.
• Any unexplained rash
• Pink eye or other eye infections
• Cloudy or green runny noses or persistent cough
