Kids’ Worship
Every Sunday morning in Creation Corner (birth to Kindergarten) and in Kid Connection (1st to 5th grade) group leaders engage the children to grow in their faith through worship in a large group/small group format. Children build relationships through music, puppets, Bible story time, Scripture memory and intentional small group activities.AWANA
In AWANA (‘Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed’) the Gospel of Jesus Christ is brought to the kids and training to serve the Lord in their everyday lives. Kids learn Bible verses in Book Time, Biblical truths in Counsel Time and have a blast in Recreation Time.Jump In
This is our Sunday night summer programming including our action-packed Bible School! In this high-energy program, kids will encounter God through music, games, storytelling, and small group activities.Multi-Site
Starting in September of 2011, we will be a multi-site church. The children who attend our satellite campuses will participate in Children’s Worship (Creation Corner and kid Connection) the same as on our Fairview Heights campus. We will need the same positions filled for this campus as we do on the main campus.Behind the Scenes
Check In
Goal: Greet members and guests as they check in their children before service. Assist with touch screen check in, register new guests and show new guests to proper area of children’s ministry.You will be expected to: arrive no later than 15 minutes prior to the start of service. Greet people with a smile and joyfully answer any questions.
Time commitment: Arrive 15 minutes before service and stay 5 minutes after the start of service. Approximately 20 minutes per week.
Training: Orientation, check in system training
Special qualifications: Enjoy helping people, like computers, teachable, faithful in attendance, and have a servant’s heart.

Copy Cats
Goal: Help prepare the items needed for the curriculum each Sunday in Creation Corner. Cut, glue, sew and bake. This position is perfect for those that love crafts!You will be expected to: Pick up items in your file each week between Wednesday and Friday and return them on Sunday.
Time commitment: Approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour per week to cut, glue or prepare items for Sunday. Time may vary depending on the week.
Training: Orientation, Copy Cat training Special qualifications: Enjoy helping get crafts and activities together, faithful in attendance, and have a servant’s heart.

Welcome Team
Goal: To welcome people to Christ Church children’s ministries when they arrive on Sundays.You will be expected to: Arrive 20 minutes prior to the start of service. Greet and welcome our guests! You will answer any questions (or find someone who can) and direct people where to go.
Time commitment: Arrive 20 minutes before service and stay until 5 minutes into service. 25 minutes per week.
Training: Orientation, Welcome training
Special Qualifications: a people person with a positive attitude, faithful in attendance, and have a servant’s heart.

Special Events
Goal: To coordinate special events for children’s ministries throughout the year. Examples: bake sales, Fun in the Sun, family events and Veggie Tales movie nights.You will be expected to: Plan, schedule, advertise and recruit volunteers for each event.
Time commitment: Approximately 5 to 10 hours per event.
Training: Orientation, Special Event training.

Décor
Goal: Make and setup the décor for Sundays.You will be expected to: Create props and displays. Be responsible for setting up, tearing down and putting décor in storage.

Tech
Goal: To run ProPresenter, lights and camera for Sunday services in Kid Connection.You will be expected to: Handle the technical end of worship in Kid Connection. This includes setup of ProPresenter, running CG, lights and camera on Sunday morning.
Time commitment: Arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of service and leave when service has concluded.

Buddy

You will be a one-on-one partner and attend large group and small group with the child.You will be expected to: Assist the special needs preschool child according to his/her specific needs (as communicated by Director and/or parents). You will spend quality time with the child, ensuring that they know how much Jesus loves them!
Time commitment: Arrive 30 minutes before service starts and stay with the child for the entire service.
Training: Orientation, Buddy training
Special qualifications: Love children with special needs, faithful in attendance, and have a servant’s heart.

Small Group Leader
Goal: Responsible for leading small groups of children during small group lesson time. Lead the children in activities and reinforce the lesson from large group. Also, as you get to the know the kids better you will strive to connect them with Jesus Christ!You will be expected to: Arrive no later than 30 minutes prior to the start of service. Meet for a huddle time before service. Read over the lesson plan prior to Sunday and come prepared to share Jesus with the kids.
Time commitment: 2 hours per Sunday

Goal: To lead the large group portion of worship. You will be the MC for the session. Introduce worship time and present large group lesson. Interact with the children during lesson. MCs and their assistants use various methods to present the Bible story and Biblical concepts, such as media, storytelling and drama.You will be expected to: Arrive no later than 30 minutes prior to the start of service. Meet 25 minutes before the start of service for a huddle time. Read over the lesson plan prior to Sunday and come prepared to share Jesus with the kids.
Time commitment: 2 hours per Sunday
Training: Orientation, large group training.
Special qualifications: Love kids, comfortable being in front of kids, willing to interact with songs, video and lesson, teachable, faithful in attendance, and have a servant’s heart.

Goal: To lead the kids in worship songs. Teach kids the motions to songs.You will be expected to: Arrive no later than 30 minutes prior to the start of service. Meet 25 minutes before the start of the service for a huddle time. Read over the lesson prior to Sunday and be prepared to worship with the kids. Learn songs in June.

Counsel Time Large Group Leader

Book Time Leader
Goal: Responsible for leading a small group of children during Book Time. Assist kids as they memorize Bible verses and get to know the kids, forming relationships with them, as you strive to connect them with Jesus Christ!
You will be expected to: Arrive to AWANA Team Meeting at 5:30pm every Sunday for a huddle time. Prepare the lesson plan prior to Sunday and be prepared for Book Time with your small group.
Time commitment: 2 hours per Sunday.

Recreation Leader
Goal: Responsible for leading kids in fun games and team building activities. These activities will teach kids to love God and love others. (Matthew 22:37-40)You will be expected to: Arrive to AWANA Team Meeting at 5:30pm every Sunday for a huddle time. Prepare to greet kids for recreation time at 5:45.
Time commitment: 2 hours per Sunday.
